Operational training

Airlift AS can provide a variety of professional operational training and education within the civilian helicopter marked.

The operational training department is divided into four sub departments:

1.         JAR/FCL TRTO ( typerating training organisation )

2.         JAR OPS 3

3.         AERIAL WORK

4          SAR ( search and rescue )

The content of the training/education available within each department is as follows:

1.         JAR/FCL TRTO ( typerating training organisation )

Airlift AS TRTO can offer internal and external typerating training on the following helicopters:

AS 332, single/multi-pilot, IFR/VFR

SA 365, single/multi-pilot, IFR/VFR

AS 350, single-pilot, VFR

The typerating training is JAR/FCL approved by the Norwegian CAA, and takes place in Norway and France depending on type.

Airlift AS TRTO can give typerating training for the holders of PPL-H, CPL-H and ATPL-H. We can provide necessary training leading to a typerating Skill Test, Proficiency Check or revalidate a typerating that is overdue.

2.         JAR OPS 3

Airlift AS can provide training regulated by JAR OPS 3, and be helpful in arranging the training required within own organisation or by other sub contractors. Training available is for example:

- OPC

- Line training

 - First aid

- Emergency safety and equipment training

- Smoke/fire prevention

- CRM

- Dangerous Goods Technical refresher

- Wet dinghy drill

3.         AERIAL WORK

Since Airlift AS is one of the largest inland helicopter companies in Norway, we can with many years experience, offer the following “aerial work” training:

        -         Photo flying

-         Thermo / power line inspection

-         Ship operations, take offs and landings

-         Underslung / sling load

-         ”Longline”

-         Spraying of chalk

-         Mast mounting ( all kinds )

-         Power line building / streching

-         Instalationofv fiber optic cabel

-         Sawing of trees alongside of power lines

-         Flyging with parachuters

-         Winter, arktic og mountain flyging

-         Other specialised missions

4.         SAR ( search and rescue )

Airlift AS has many years of search and rescue experience from the high latitudes of the Barents sea and the Svalbard / Spitzbergen region. We can be helpful in starting up a complete new organisation, to give recurrency training or to upgrade existing organisations

( with i.e.NVG training / check outs ), Some examples of the training available is as follows:

-         Generell SAR service, organisation, etc.

-         SAR Briefings, Crew cooperation

-         Hoisting on ships, life rafts ,small boats, ,personnel from land / sea

-         Hoisting on glaciers, in mountainous terrain, etc.

-         Search patterns offshore/onshore

-         NVG ( Night vision goggles )

-         Other SAR related training items
